These guys are absolutely amazing! We had 4 kitchen chairs of sentimental value refinished and they are absolutely stunning. Cost was fair, communication was great and the craftsmanship was exceptional. This is THE place to go.

John and Chris recently repaired and restored an old English pub table and chairs I had, which were about 80 years old. This was my kitchen table growing up, so not only was it nice furniture, it also had very high sentimental value. They did, and I cannot overstate this enough, an absolutely perfect job: its gorgeous, and looks ready for another 80 years (we are putting everything to good use in the house). I even got a little emotional when I saw the finished product. On top of that, it was for an excellent price. Finally, they were truly a joy to work with, with great communication, and genuinely good people to boot: my wife and I remarked whenever we would drive away that we could sit and talk with them for hourstheyre hilarious and genuinely should start a podcast or YouTube channel. All that to say, we will be bringing them more work in the future, and look forward to it. Highly recommend.

In November, I had Cathers perform work on the pine chest my daughter inherited from her grandmother. The chest had scrapes and discoloration. They did a fabulous job and it looks like new! They were helpful and performed the work in a very timely fashion. This will provide many years of happiness on a very sentimental piece of furniture! Cathers did an absolutely excellent job repairing multiple pieces of furniture. They repaired several dining chairs, a hope chest and refinished two night stands. Their work is exceptional. The antique night stands look brand new! Their delivery and pick up service is so helpful. They provided an upfront estimate and brought the furniture back earlier than estimated. I would recommend without hesitation.

I couldnt be happier with the incredible job done on my grandmothers flip-top vanity! Its a very special heirloom that had seen better days the finish was dull, the hardware was worn, and the wood had a few deep scratches. They brought it back to life in the most beautiful way possible. They even helped replace the broken mirror.
The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. The wood grain now glows, the hinges and top move smoothly, and they even managed to preserve the character of the original piece while making it look brand new. Communication throughout the process was excellent they explained every step, offered helpful suggestions for stain color, and delivered the piece right on time.
Its rare to find this level of skill and pride in workmanship these days. I cant stop admiring how stunning the vanity looks now! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to restore or refinish a cherished piece of furniture.

It was beat up and had seen better days but what they did was nothing short of unbelievable. the desk looks like it would have brand new 75 years ago. Cather’s refinished my old coffee table. They did a fantastic job gluing back each piece of inlay and sanding out all the damage from cat scratches. It looks like new! I’m thrilled with the results!

Our family has a dining room table and chairs from the 1880s, burl mahogany. Three of the chairs needed extensive repairs - split backs, broken arm and joints. The process took awhile, but they are very busy these days and I knew that from the start. They returned the sideboard first and a couple of weeks later the table and chairs.

I bought some vintage wooden doors off of Etsy (apparently from India) because I loved the intricate wood carving detail in the center of each one. Unfortunately the trims didn't match and I wanted to use them for sliding barn doors. That's when I reached out to John Cather and family. He discovered that the doors were made of different wood so the only way to get the trims to match is to stain the lighter one darker. He did an incredible job matching them up and preserving the essence of the doors which I love so much. They really care about their craft and it shows. Would highly recommend.

I have had my grandmothers petite rocker for 30 years but it wasn’t in good condition. The wood was in good shape but needed freshening up. We got it back today and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Better than I expected!

I took a 35-year-old wooden rocking horse to Cather's for repairs in anticipation of delivering it to my son for use by my young granddaughter. Chris Cather did wonderful work - the horse looked great and the job was completed on time and on budget. Chris did everything he said he would and then some. A pleasure to work with.
