John and his team refinished a 75-year-old family desk for me. It was beat up and had seen better days but what they did was nothing short of unbelievable. the desk looks like it would have brand new 75 years ago. Cather’s refinished my old coffee table. They did a fantastic job gluing back each piece of inlay and sanding out all the damage from cat scratches. It looks like new! I’m thrilled with the results!

Were over the moon! I found Cathers via Google, felt good about the reviews and reached out to them to see what they may be able to do about a live edged, acacia coffee table that has been with my family for over 50 years. This piece is one of the few items we had shipped when we moved to the US as a young family - so it carries a lot of meaning. Our family has a dining room table and chairs from the 1880s, burl mahogany. Three of the chairs needed extensive repairs - split backs, broken arm and joints. The process took awhile, but they are very busy these days and I knew that from the start. They returned the sideboard first and a couple of weeks later the table and chairs.

Unfortunately the trims didn't match and I wanted to use them for sliding barn doors. That's when I reached out to John Cather and family. He discovered that the doors were made of different wood so the only way to get the trims to match is to stain the lighter one darker. He did an incredible job matching them up and preserving the essence of the doors which I love so much. They really care about their craft and it shows. Would highly recommend.

I have had my grandmothers petite rocker for 30 years but it wasn’t in good condition. The wood was in good shape but needed freshening up. We got it back today and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Better than I expected!

I took a 35-year-old wooden rocking horse to Cather's for repairs in anticipation of delivering it to my son for use by my young granddaughter. Chris Cather did wonderful work - the horse looked great and the job was completed on time and on budget. Chris did everything he said he would and then some. A pleasure to work with.
